The Arts Centre is a few minutes’ walk from Flinders Street Station away from the city and over the bridge.  Or take any tram (except tram number 1) along St Kilda Road and disembark at The Arts Centre (Stop number 14).  Visit The Arts Centre website for further information about parking and access

The free Melbourne City Tourist Shuttle runs in a loop through Melbourne's CBD every 15 minutes, and stops at the corner of Southbank Boulevard and Kavanagh Street (Stop 10). For more information visit the tourist shuttle service here.

Located at Federation Square is the Sustainable Living Foundation bike valet service.  Our onsite bike valet service will make you feel like royalty as you toss over the keys to your wheels and allow our bellboys to park your ride, while you reenergise at one of our hydration stations.

Located riverside at Federation Square, Rentabike has bikes to explore Melbourne; from cruisers and tandems to tag-alongs, baby seats and children's bikes. Bike hire costs just $15 for the first hour then $5 an hour or $35 per day.  RentaBike is open daily, 10.00am-5.00pm.  Phone: 1300 887 908

What to bring
Bring a reusable water bottle, sunscreen, hat and bag.  Delegates will have the opportunity to take away resource information from some of our partners and supporters.  Due to the desire to minimise materials required for the day we are encouraging all delegates to bring their own bag suitable for carrying a number of brochures and flyers, which will be available.

The City of Melbourne’s Savings in the City program is an innovative environmental program to help city hotels cut energy, water and waste consumption.  Follow the link to find out more about the program and to choose your accommodation.

Morning tea will be provided for Workshop delegates from The Arts Centre catering department, Epicure, providing a choice of Fairtrade coffee and a selection of teas.  Find out more about Epicure’s Food Philosophy

Lunch will not be provided but we recommend that once the workshop sessions are over you visit the Sustainable Living Festivals foodies in Birrarung Marr to try a selection of organic and vegetarian food & beverages – show your delegates event program to receive a 10% discount from participating food vendors.

Finger food and beverages will be available at the Networking Function from our sustainable caterer.  Considerations have been made for gluten free and vegan diets.
